About Your Role:

Dotdash Meredith is hiring a Vice President of Brand Partnerships with a strong background and focus on the Food / CPG category within the advertising sales space. In this role, you would be responsible for using your category knowledge and expertise to forge new partnerships and grow existing business. You must be a motivated and passionate sales professional with management experience to lead our highly professional, deeply committed, and enthusiastic team of advertising sales representatives. We are seeking a powerful, creative, dynamic, and inspiring leader who will expand their sales expertise and will actively sell alongside them. You will be a creative and strategic thinker who can turn a client's need into an exciting idea. You will be a visionary, understanding how digital publishing is evolving - and leading your team to sell into that evolution. You will be relentless about achieving targets, resulting in revenue and market share growth for our portfolio of brands.

This role is based in New York City and is expected to work a hybrid schedule of at least three days in-office per week.

About Your Contributions:

  • Represent our Food and Bev lifestyle brands - Food & Wine, Serious Eats, Simply Recipes, The Spruce Eats, EatingWell, Allrecipes and Liquor.com, in the advertising marketplace with digital industry expertise, professionalism and a point of view

  • Lead, develop, grow and manage relationships with executive-level clients and decision makers; empower your team to meet the client's needs by sharing important account information

  • Build strong internal relationships with functional leads (Marketing and Client Services) to drive collaboration across the organization, identify needs and develop solutions.

  • Partner with vertical leadership to create and execute sales strategies and drive growth.

  • Continually educate our Sales Leaders on their clients business challenges, and work to bring the clients advertising solutions which help to solve their business challenges.

  • Stay abreast of DDM's variety of solutions for clients including custom content, editorial sponsorships, mobile executions, programmatic, and demonstrate a curiosity for new and evolving products; leverage your relationships to evangelize our solutions and empower your team to do the same

  • Forecast, track and report revenue contribution and performance with our internal tools

  • Champion the strategic mission of the sales team by raising ideas, questions and concerns as we work to continually elevate our work in the marketplace

  • Manage a team of sellers including providing regular coaching and feedback, approving vacation, managing schedules, approving expenses, etc.

  • Lead the sales team to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.

About You:

  • A minimum of 10 years of digital media sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of success in breaking accounts without prior history of spending

  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience preferred

  • Relationships within Food and Bev and overall Lifestyle categories strongly preferred

  • Strategic vision with the ability to execute

  • Demonstrated leadership presence and maturity

  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders is in your DNA

  • You have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, and a passion for excellence

  • Results-driven orientation, superior client management skills, excellent follow-up and follow-through

  • Proficient understanding of client ad solutions such as custom content, editorial sponsorships, mobile executions, and programmatic

  • Independent self-starter who comes equipped with strong contacts at key digital agencies and clients and can get up and running quickly

  • High degree of integrity and business ethics

  • Willing to travel as needed; approximately 1-2x month

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work strongly preferred

Pay Range

Salary: $157,500 - $225,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
