Role and Responsibilities:
As a Landscaping Crew Member you will assists with day-to-day landscaping duties on base. You will also execute all required landscaping responsibilities efficiently and productively. You will safely operate machinery and hand tools as directed by your supervisor.

  • Work with a team that primarily composed of individuals with disabilities.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspect equipment at the end of each day.
  • Hedge trimming
  • Weed removal
  • Landscaping bed maintenance
  • Mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging, and hand pruning
  • Safe operation of equipment
  • Pruning shrubs and trees
  • Spraying lawns, shrubs, and trees
  • Raking up leaves and litter
  • Planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs
  • Watering lawns and shrubs
  • Cleaning out drainage ditches and culverts.
  • May operate tractors equipped with attachments such as mower, fertilizer spreader, and lawn roller.
  • Ensure all safeguards and safety itemsare being used and operated by the user.
  • Wear all safety gearare requiredby CW Resources.
  • Notify Crew Leader of any areas that are unsafe to weed whack or cannot be serviced for the day.
  • Obey and observe all trafficlaws while operating equipment.
  • Work with Crew Leader to ensure 100% completion of assigned areas.
  • Ensure that all areas assigned for the day are completed up to contract standards.
  • Perform re-servicing of failed areas.
  • Adhere to company policies and breaks.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma and/or GED.
  • Minimum of (1) One-year landscaping experience (Preferred)

Physical Demands:

The Landscaping Crew Member is a physically demanding position. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

  • Frequently required use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects tools or controls.
  • Must spend the entire time at work standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, operating medium-weight lawn care equipment.
  • Required to do a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Environmental Demands:
The incumbent will be exposed to outdoor elements and may have to work in extreme heat. The incumbent may be exposed to loud noises for extended periods.
