ORCis seeking a full-time, exemptProject Accountantto be based in Columbus, OH. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside within a 50-mile radius of Columbus, OH and be able to report to the Columbus, OH office as needed.

What you will be doing:
As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for generating accurate project financial reports and monitoring the project financials including identifyingunusual financial activities to projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, ensuring that project billings are issued, and payments are collected. The Project Accountant will review and correct company expense reports, set up vendors in accounting system, and notify managers of potential budget problems and discrepancies in project reporting. The selected candidate will be an intermittent assistant to the accounting department, assisting with additional administrative tasks.

Bonus Points if you have experience with accounting and project management software like Vantagepoint and/or are knowledgeable in various contract billing methods, and/or experience with high volume invoicing.

Physical Requirements: English language proficient. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long hours in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee occasionally is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
