Job Summary

The EHS Course Content Developer creates and develops EHS related training content via various instruction methods. Responsible for developing the course material and design, but also consider assessment and presentation style.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop EHS classroom & online training content using industry accepted instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Update and maintain EHS training programs in accordance with regulatory and region and business-specific updates and changes
    • maintain training content on GE systems (GE Box, Libraries)
    • maintain/update training instructor database
    • assist Lead as needed with verification of course content back-up loaded properly on GE server
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of EHS topics, regulations, and Corporate & Region EHS policies and procedures
  • Identify gaps and develop learning objectives and specifications
  • Research and apply new learning technologies as they become available
  • Assist in troubleshooting course issues
  • Maintain teaching proficiency/certifications for course content developed, as needed
  • Assist in reviewing course translation materials, as needed
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2 year technical or science degree or related technical experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • English proficiency required

Desired Characteristics:

  • 2-4 years in EHS learning field (desired)
  • Experience developing and teaching Environment, Health & Safety topics to adult learners
  • Strong background in multiple EHS-related fields, such as electrical safety, Lockout Tagout, Incident Analysis, and Auditing
  • Proficiency in Turning Point audience response software and video editing software
  • Provides support for field services with basic practical knowledge of processes and procedures. Works under close supervision, within established guidelines. Minimal complexity; activities are routine and repetitive. When an obstacle is encountered, may seek help and/or approval before proceeding
  • Strong sense of design and be technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat)
  • Strong presentation/writing skills
  • Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently, complete multiple projects within time constraints and work in a fast -paced work environment
  • Strong organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits:
The hourly wage range for this position is $26.20 to $43.22. Employees may be eligible for overtime. FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program. Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
