The US Product Strategy Associate role isresponsible forsupporting the US Product organization in its pursuit of creating an efficient product set positioned to achieve active gains in market share and profitability.

The primary focus of the role will be on the US market to monitor and research industry trends, product development, pricing strategies, product positioning, competitor research, and to assist in creating business proposals to enhance the product range.

The US Product Strategy Associate role bridges thestrategicand creative aspects of product management with the practical aspects ofeffecting product enhancements through a focus on data analytics and investment capabilities.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the US Product Strategy Associate?

Product Research & Development:

  • Collects and analyzes information from internal resources and third-party data sources to guide strategic business decisions on the product lineup.
  • With guidance, provides research and analytical support to identify product opportunities.
  • Undertakes research and analysis to assist in determining expected client demand for product changes or launches.

Product Strategy and Management:

  • Under direction, captures recommendations for product ideas within specific channels or areas.
  • Provides support to local distribution teams; researches and provides answers to questions related to product development lifecycle (e.g., timing of product changes, launches, mergers, and closures).
  • Assists in documenting investment strategy, objectives, risk profile, pricing, and product features.

Client Engagement & Partnership:

  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders in US Distribution and SIM counterparts to meet business needs and to respond to client and firm requests.
  • Solicits, gathers, and summarizes feedback from stakeholders on proposed product changes.
  • Supports drafting presentations for internal business approvals and fund board approvals.

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years related experience

  • Proficient with large data sets and Excel

  • Preferred: Experience with Python, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI

  • Strong knowledge of industry data (eVestment, Morningstar Direct, Lipper, Simfund)

  • Interest in or progress towards completion of the CFA

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

  • Passionate about team dynamics and collective achievement

Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary-designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $85,000 - $100,000.
