What we need...

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior System Administrator with the VMware Services Team. This role is integral to the management of our client IaaS platform, iWorkstation, as well as multiple client-based Cloud services. Our team oversees a variety of SaaS products and maintains multiple partner relationships, including operating as a Cloud Solutions Provider with Microsoft and offering MSP based services to our customer base.

What you'll do...

  • Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Daily customer interaction required to follow-up on issues and track progress of project(s)
  • Install, configure and maintain Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, hardened custom images, networks, custom applications, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot complex system-level problems with thin clients, virtual workstations, virtual servers, laptops, applications, and Cloud services
  • Respond to escalated tickets from Level 1 Support Team
  • Implement and maintain security controls as requested by Clients
  • Respond to ticket requests and emails submitted by Clients
  • Deploy and manage Virtual Desktops and Servers as requested by Clients
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery testing
  • Stay abreast of current technology trends and the impact to the infrastructure
  • Document system and application configurations and deployments standards
  • Some weekend/afterhours work required, as necessary
  • Occasional On-Call rotation required for Client and infrastructure production issues

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related experience
  • Five+ years of performing System Administration in a production environment
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting hardware and software
  • Certification(s) related to environment (e.g. Microsoft, VCP, LCP) a strong plus
  • Prior MSP or consulting experience a strong plus
  • Leadership experience a strong plus
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret banking periodicals, professional/technical journals and technical procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both verbally and in writing
  • Effective ability to lead projects
  • Effective ability to lead technicians
  • Effective documentation skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
  • Ability to explain complex issues to end users and Executives alike
  • Proficient knowledge of assigned systems (e.g. Windows or Linux), including installation and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency shown working with Azure (AAD, Identity, Security, Compliance) and Microsoft 365 workloads, to include SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online - Intune MDM & Teams Voice/VOIP a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of troubleshooting various enterprise applications
  • Proficient knowledge of user access control, patching, and networking stacks
  • Proficient knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange Server, and other local systems management (DHCP, DNS, NTFS)
  • Working knowledge of email system maintenance/support, and experience migrating a wide-scope of source environments into Exchange Online
  • Proficiency working with email/content protection systems (anti-spam/DLP/EOP) a strong plus
  • Demonstrated experience with PowerShell/MS Graph scripting, for support and deployment automation a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of setting up and maintaining VMware and virtualization
  • Proficient knowledge of setting up and maintaining computer hardware
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective ability to maintain vendor and partner relationships
  • Prior experience with project management tools, such as Smartsheet, a plus

The salary range for this position is $91,800 - $122,400 annually.
