The Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie is seeking a part-time Nurse to be a part of our Health Services team! If you are feeling overwhelmed by the current environment in medical facilities, the Children’s Home may be the right fit for you.

Since we are caring for children, weekend and night work is included in our shifts. The staff nurse assumes those duties assigned by the Nursing Director, including but not limited to maintenance of records, arranging and securing medical care for children, monitoring children's health needs, executing physicians orders, assisting children in preventive health care and personal hygiene, caring for sick children, and assessing medical needs.

 

Schedule: PT 21 Hours-

Sunday-Monday, 9am-7pm with availability of 1 hour during the week to meet remotely for supervision

OR

Friday-Saturday, 9am-7pm with availability of 1 hour during the week to meet remotely for supervision

FT 40 hours- Friday-Monday, 9am-7pm. Tuesday-Thursday OFF

Qualifications

  • Valid NYS Drivers license in good standing
  • NYS LPN license 
  • Computer experience necessary
  • Psychiatric Experience a plus
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
